The power of good company, Being around positive people

Recently I was at a dinner after a funeral and had a deep conversation with a friend. He was telling me about how he learned a process that helps him to get more in touch with the ultimate positive place within himself. He told me he learned the process from me and he also expressed how the results were astonishing. Ever since our meeting, I have not been able to stop thinking about the conversation.

My friend Charles told me that he asked for help and it came right away, magically. As I said I could not stop thinking about this. Part of the reason why was that he told me he got this whole talking to God and the Universe thing from me. I have done it many times. I put a question out there and wait for the answer to magically come. It can come from anywhere or anyone, and it does. When it does it almost always catches me off guard giving me the exact information I need coming from the radio, someone in front of me in line, someone one angry at me, literally anywhere. And when the demonstration catches me off guard surprising me, I am reminded that we are all connected in this magical universe. I am connected with everything everyone and all the answers I need, and yes ultimately God, however you imagine God to be. But here’s the thing. I had a challenge in my world going on at the time that I knew I needed to apply this process to and had not done so. To make things more interesting while I was at this dinner having the conversation about my friend’s magical demonstration from God, another fellow meditation student, Lisa, came over to introduce her friend. She introduced me as the young teacher, our teacher Mr. Ambrister was the old teacher. She then began to tell her friend “this is the one I told you about in all those stories who had all those incredible experiences.” She even had titles for each story. “Remember the rain story, and the one about the light switch.” I was a little embarrassed, but I was also reminded of how many incredible experiences I have had and how many times people have told me the stories helped them to have similar experiences. I found myself thinking again I have had so many incredible experiences. I am much bigger than any problem I have. I have to get back on track.”

Later this week I woke up early one morning debating on going back to bed or taking this time for early meditation, reflecting and blogging. I thought about my friends Charles and Lisa and how I needed to get back on track. I decided to take my time for early positivity etc. I meditated. Right in the midst of the meditation I got my answer I had been looking for. I also got some blogging done and felt totally refreshed. What really got me was, I felt like a new person with my new answer to the problem that had been dogging me, and it seemed to come so easily. As I thought about it. It was very clear that my conversation with Charles and Lisa introducing me to her friend in such a wonderful way reminded me of my more positive incredible side. Since then I have been back in my place seeing more of the wonder of The Universe and the positive in and around me.

My point with this post is we need to surround ourselves with positive people who see and acknowledge our positivity as much as possible.

A Positive Encounter

Yesterday I met a young lady at the bank who in conversation began to ask me if I was familar with The Secret. I told her that I was and then she excitedly began to tell me about how important it is to be positive. She then began to tell me about how it really works, being positive that is, and how you could be having the worst day ever and if you begin to think positive thoughts, it could actually turn things around. She was so excited as she was talking to me I could not get a word in. When my time to reply came, for some reason all I could say is “I agree and yes I have the same philosophy. I totally get what you are saying.” Then I gave her a Positive Ambassador writst band.

A message from a positive friend

I got this message from a friend of mine on linkedin some time ago and have been meaning to post it for some time.

George W. Swan III, Ed.D. Just arrived in New Mexico for a site visit. It is marvelous how people can bond when you are gathered together by weather, equipment delays and miscommunication. It wound up being an exciting 14 hours spent in airports with new found friends between Detroit, Dallas and Albuquerque. Has anyone else such an experience to share?

A Secret About The Positive Mind

One of the most positive things in the world to me is the fact that we have access to all the answers. I mean this literally. No matter what it is that we are going through we literally have access to the best way to handle the situation. As a matter of fact if we look at our lives we can even see a theme. If we have a challenging situation going on in one area of our lives, more than likely we have the same thing going on in other areas of our life, if we take the time to step back and look. Actually the truth is whatever is going on is not just happening by accident but is happening to get us to see certain things and grow accordingly. Some find this hard to believe but we actually create our own worlds or attract all the situations going on in our life to get lessons. Now here is the positive thing about it. The lesson is designed to bring us to a happier more enjoyable place if we can learn to see life in the new way that the situation is trying to bring us to. If we really believe this and ask God, The Universe, Our deeper self, which ever one we choose, What is the lesson in this?, if we ask this question and really mean it we will see a almost magical thing happen. We will see the answer come as if out of know where. I have done this many times and had answers come from television shows, movies, even someone coming up to me and literally out of the blue talking to me about the exact thing I was thinking about. The more we believe in such things and move in such ways, the more experiences we have like this.

The Pickle Jar

This a story that was passed along to me by one of our members

The Pickle Jar

(This reminds me of my father)

The pickle jar as far back as I can remember sat on the floor beside
the dresser in my parents’ bedroom.

When he got ready for bed, Dad would empty
his pockets and toss his coins into the jar.

As a small boy, I was always fascinated at the sounds the coins made as
they were dropped into the jar.

They landed with a merry jingle when the jar was almost empty. Then the
tones gradually muted to a dull thud as the jar was filled.

I used to squat on the floor in front of the jar to admire the copper
and silver circles that glinted like a pirate’s treasure when the sun
poured through the bedroom window. When the jar was filled, Dad would
sit at the kitchen table and roll the coins before taking them to the
bank.

Taking the coins to the bank was always a big production.

Stacked neatly in a small cardboard box, the coins were placed between
Dad and me on the seat of his old truck.

Each and every time, as we drove to the bank, Dad would look at me
hopefully. ‘Those coins are going to keep you out of the textile mill,
son. You’re going to do better than me. This old mill town’s not going
to hold you back.’

Also, each and every time, as he slid the box of rolled coins across
the counter at the bank toward the cashier, he would grin
proudly. ‘These are for my son’s college fund. He’ll never work at the
mill all his life like me.’

We would always celebrate each deposit by stopping for an ice cream
cone. I always got chocolate. Dad always got vanilla. When the clerk at
the ice cream parlor handed Dad his change, he would show me the few
coins nestled in his palm. ‘When we get home, we’ll start filling the
jar again.’ He always let me drop the first coins into the empty jar.
As they rattled around with a brief, happy jingle, we grinned at each
other. ‘You’ll get to college on pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters,’
he said. ‘But you’ll get there; I’ll see to that.’

No matter how rough things got at home, Dad continued to doggedly drop
his coins into the jar. Even the summer when Dad got laid off from the
mill, and Mama had to serve dried beans several times a week, not a
single dime was taken from the jar.

To the contrary, as Dad looked across the table at me, pouring catsup
over my beans to make them more palatable, he became more determined
than ever to make a way out for me ‘When you finish college, Son,’ he
told me, his eyes glistening, ‘You’ll never have to

eat beans again – unless you want to.’

The years passed, and I finished college and took a

job in another town. Once, while visiting my parents, I used the phone
in their bedroom, and noticed that the pickle jar was gone. It had
served its purpose and had been removed.

A lump rose in my throat as I stared at the spot beside the dresser
where the jar had always stood. My dad was a man of few words: he never
lectured me on the values of determination, perseverance, and faith.
The pickle jar had taught me all these virtues far more eloquently than
the most flowery of words could have done. When I married, I told my
wife Susan about the significant part the lowly pickle jar had played
in my life as a boy. In my mind, it defined, more than anything else,
how much my dad had loved me.

The first Christmas after our daughter Jessica was born, we spent the
holiday with my parents. After dinner, Mom and Dad sat next to each
other on the sofa, taking turns cuddling their first grandchild.
Jessica began to whimper softly, and Susan took her from Dad’s
arms. ‘She probably needs to be changed,’ she said, carrying the baby
into my parents’ bedroom to diaper her. When Susan came back into the living
room, there was a strange mist in her eyes.

She handed Jessica back to Dad before taking my hand and leading me
into the room. ‘Look,’ she said softly, her eyes directing me to a spot
on the floor beside the dresser.

To my amazement, there, as if it had never been removed, stood the old
pickle jar, the bottom already covered with coins. I walked over to the
pickle jar, dug down into my pocket, and pulled out a fistful of coins.
With a gamut of emotions choking me, I dropped the coins into the jar.
I looked up and saw that Dad, carrying Jessica, had slipped quietly
into the room. Our eyes locked, and I knew he was feeling the same emotions I felt. Neither one of us could speak.

This truly touched my heart. Sometimes we are so busy adding up our
troubles that we forget to count our blessings.Never underestimate the
power of your actions.

With one small gesture you can change a person’s life, for better or
for worse.

God puts us all in each other’s lives to impact one another in some
way. Look for GOOD in others.

The best and most beautiful things cannot be seen or touched – they
touch the heart ~

- Happy moments, praise God.
- Difficult moments, seek God.
- Quiet moments, worship God.
- Painful moments, trust God.
- Every moment, thank God.

A story for the positive ambassador (road rage)

This is a story that was forwarded to me from one of our members

The light turned yellow, just in front of him. He did the right thing, stopping at the crosswalk, even though he could have beaten the red light by accelerating through the intersection.

The tailgating woman was furious and honked her horn, screaming in frustration, as she missed her chance to get through the intersection, dropping her cell phone and makeup.

As she was still in mid-rant, she heard a tap on her window and looked up into the face of a very serious police officer. The officer ordered her to exit her car with her hands up.

He took her to the police station where she was searched, fingerprinted, photographed, and placed in a holding cell.

After a couple of hours, a policeman approached the cell and opened the door. She was escorted back to the booking desk where the arresting officer was waiting with her personal effects.

He said, ”I’m very sorry for this mistake. You see, I pulled up behind your car while you were blowing your horn, flipping off the guy in front of you and cussing a blue streak at him. I noticed the ‘What Would Jesus Do’ bumper sticker, the ‘Choose Life’ license plate holder, the ‘Follow Me to Sunday-School’ bumper sticker, and the chrome-plated Christian fish emblem on the trunk, so naturally.. .I assumed you had stolen the car.”

Priceless

dreams and life

This life is a dream of the soul. Our dreams at night are God’s secret way of telling us that we are spiritual beings in a metaphysical universe. Through our dreams we discover that we are beyond our physical bodies that we find ourselves in. They allude to life beyond the physical. They can serve as premonitions of things to come, give us glimpses of future possibilities, and reveal deeply hidden desires. When we become proficient at working with our dreams, we can ask a question about our life, and the answer will often be revealed in a dream. Ultimately, we discover that our waking state is also a dream – just as fluid with all the characteristics of what we call the “dream world.” I talk about dreams a lot in my weekly downloads and classes in my Enlightenment Program. I am also currently working on a book about dreams, how to understand them, and be more in touch with our souls and spirits through our dreams at night. I will let you know when I am done writing it.
